Hello Subudians,
Ethan Sofan Harris here, co-chair SYA USA. So, we have the idea to get a bus, fill it with young Subud members/and friends, and travel the country working on Social projects. Perhaps this might involve renovation of older Subud properties, or feeding the homless, or working to build homes for people in need. While the insperation for this is around social projects and might work well in partnership with Susila Dharma an its projects, we could also have partnerships with SICA and have travelling cultural events. Perhaps Subud Enterprise Services can help us form the SUBUS project as a Subud enterprise, or a non-profit org.
WHY a BUS you ask? Well, this project is about youth getting out of thier comfort zone and growing as an individual on one hand, and on the other hand it is about Subud getting out into the world in a positive way.
Imagin what an amazing experience this will be for young Subud members, how many times have young Subud members felt like they fit in with thier peers at a congress, and not wanted to all have to go our separate ways after a congress. NOW, WE CAN KEEP GOING! On the SUBUS. A space to grow, learn, teach, and help others while on the open road.
GETTING STARTED:
1 We need to get the bus, this could be done as part of the "project" for the youth interested to be part of.
2 We may need to reovate/paint the bus. we may need to do fundraising as part of the project for the youth to accopish.
3 Create a plan, route, and social project goal.
4 create a business plan for the successful operation of the SUBUS.
5 We change the world for the better in the name of SUBUD SYA USA!
SO, now its time for YOU to get involved!
WE NEED A BUS, do you have one, know where we can get one, or the funds to do so.
