How Can I Help/Jobs Page

We may have as many as forty youth coming to the congress so of course we will all need to work together to make this a wonderful time.  It is a lot of fun to do these activities, AND you will also get a payment of $20 for the major jobs at the end of your morning or afternoon shift.

There will also be an opportunity for youth to make money in the evening by taking care of the little ones.  This can be done in the youth rooms if we set it up properly so that everything is secure and cleaned up at the end of the evening.

On this page of the website you will see a description of the different jobs and ways that I need help.

Jobs for teens 13 - 15, or Moms of young children.

We don't know yet how many children we will have of this age.  Last time there were about 18.  We will need a person to anchor the shift in the morning, and in the afternoon, and then 1 to 2 people per shift to help them.  We will need more than that to take the kids to the water park.

We can take the children to the park, right across the street, for play in the interactive water fountains, read stories, do face makeup, make hats, prepare for a parade, go to the water park and, with the older ones to the Science Museum.  We also welcome your ideas!

Jobs for Older youth 16 - 25, or for Parents of Older Children

We need adults also to be with the youth ages 11 to 16 on the campout, and going to any of the field trips we might set up, such as whitewater rafting or a hike to Mount Saint Helens.

We need people over 25 with a good driving record to drive 7-person passenger vans to the various field trips, including the water park on Saturday, the other possible field trips.  If these adults can also stay and be part of the activity, so much the better.

We also need youth and adults who are interested in presenting activities in the Youth Cafe, such as theater games, leading fascinating art projects, making videos, putting on shows, leading a poetry slam.....and....what else?  Have ideas?

drop cloths to put under the craft tables

balls, hula hoops, frisbees, etc.

Hanging out with the kids, for fun and profit....at the National Congress in Estes Park, CO.
