The new team for Subud Youth Activities is

Sulfiati Harris and Sonya Conrad, to be assisted by Lucinda Nelson as Vice-Chair

Generally speaking, Sonya and Lucinda will work on activities for youth of an age to be opened and Sulfiati will work on developing a program for children under 17, but don't be too surprised if things overlap.  We are all enthusiastic and happy to be working together.  Here is a message that Sonya recently sent out to the National Dewan listserver as an introduction to the new team:

Hello All!  I wanted to intruduce myself to everyone, as I don't know many of you and would like to.  I am Sonya Conrad, SYA USA co-chair with Sulfiati Harris.  I live in Kalispell, Montana, and grew up in subud.  i have three young kids of my own, and a wonderful husband.  I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity to connect with the youth and attempt to bring connection, excitement, fun, and awareness to them.  I am new to National Committee work and have a lot to learn, so I welcome any ideas and input anyone would like to offer.  Already Sulfiati, Lucinda and I have our wheels spinning and many ideas are coming forth.  I'd be interested to hear from you all what your concerns, hope, and ideas are for Subud youth.  I look forward to becoming familiar with you, and working together to make amazing things happen.

As of the evening of June 19 we have 40 youth coming who are 16 and under.  We also have about 7 who are from 17 to 20.

Here is the breakdown if the youth 16 and under.

7 who are from 14 to 16

12 who are from 11 to 13

9 who are from 7 to 10

9 who are from 3 - 6

3 under 2. 

The photo below shows the park directly across the street from the hotel.  We are lucky to have a playground and interactive water fountains just a five minute walk from the hotel!
